Employment Q&A — working with Pristine Water Systems
What does a PWS Water Technician do?
Water Technicians look after rainwater tanks and water treatment systems for homes and businesses across your area: cleaning tanks, servicing and installing filters, UV and reverse-osmosis systems, testing water, and advising customers. You run a daily schedule from a fully set-up work vehicle and complete job cards, quotes and invoices in the PWS field app.
Do I need experience or qualifications?
No. Full training is provided — through the PWS Training Centre and on the job alongside the franchise owner. Practical, hands-on people from trades, farming, landscaping, pool servicing, delivery and similar backgrounds do well. The must-have is a current driver's licence and a good attitude with customers.
What licence do I need?
A current Class C (car) driver's licence — you'll drive a work vehicle every day. Trade tickets or other licences are a bonus, not a requirement.
Are the jobs full time, part time or casual?
It depends on the franchise: many roles are full time, and casual and part-time positions are advertised too. Every advertised position says which, and you can tell us your preference when you apply.
How much does a Water Technician earn?
Pay is set by the local, independently owned PWS franchise in line with the applicable award, your experience and the hours of the role, and is discussed at interview. It's an active, outdoor, customer-facing job rather than desk work.
What are the physical requirements?
It's an active field role: getting in and out of the vehicle all day, climbing ladders, accessing water tanks, pulling hoses, and lifting products or chemical drums into the vehicle, in all weather.
Who would I work for?
You'd be employed by the local, independently owned PWS franchise. The franchise owner makes the hiring decision and is your employer; Pristine Water Systems head office provides the training, systems and products behind the work.
Are there administration or sales jobs too?
Yes. Franchises advertise administration and customer-service roles and sales roles when they need them. If nothing suits right now, register with the PWS Talent Network and the local team can contact you when something comes up.
How do I apply?
Apply online to any advertised position — it goes straight to the franchise owner in your area. If there's no suitable vacancy, register with the Talent Network for your area and you may be contacted when a position opens.
